LGBTQIA+ Concerns

Being LGBTQIA+ can be a meaningful and affirming part of who you are and it can bring unique challenges in a world where LGBTQIA+ people continue to experience stigma, discrimination, and oppression. These experiences, whether they occur within families, relationships, communities, workplaces, healthcare settings, or society more broadly; can have a profound impact on emotional well-being, relationships, and one’s sense of belonging.

Therapy can provide an affirming and supportive space to explore the many dimensions of your life and identity. Together, we can make room for your experiences, your strengths, your hopes, and the challenges you have faced. My goal is to offer a relationship where you feel respected, understood, and free to bring your whole self.

As a queer/gay man, I understand the importance of having a therapist with whom you do not need to explain or defend your identity. I bring both personal and professional experience to this work, while recognizing that every person’s story, identity, and relationship to their LGBTQIA+ experience is unique.

Whether you are exploring identity, navigating relationships, healing from painful experiences, coping with the effects of discrimination or marginalization, or simply seeking a place where all parts of yourself are welcomed, therapy can support greater self-understanding, self-compassion, connection, and well-being.
