I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing psychotherapy, clinical supervision, and supportive consultation in Portland, Oregon, and online for people throughout Oregon and Washington. I’m also a queer/gay, cisgender man who was born and raised in Kansas, attended college in Nebraska, and settled in the Pacific Northwest in the mid-1990s. My pronouns are he/him.
For more than 26 years, I have had the honor of working with individuals and families facing difficult, painful, and sometimes life-threatening challenges. My experience includes serving as a clinical social worker in hospitals, clinics, and camps; teaching in high schools, universities, and community settings; and providing care in people’s homes, my private practice office, and online through telehealth.

I believe meaningful change happens within a supportive, trusting relationship where you feel genuinely safe, understood, and accepted.
My style is warm, engaged, and collaborative and I’ll take the time to get to know you, your story, your strengths, your struggles, and what matters most to you. Together, we’ll make sense of what’s happening, work through painful emotions, clarify what you hope for, and discover practical, compassionate ways to move toward the life you want.
